What a night.. should go without saying I could trust RVNG Intl. to help kick off the birthday weekend in the highest fashion. Cool deal that Making Time coincided with the kickoff of my equinox. And such a tailored bill! On the main stage alone, Anika, Factory Floor, Dirty Beaches, and the forever deadly Making Time djs. In the Hypercage, Pink Skull, Adam Sparkles and the Broadzilla djs laid down that heavy grind straight till 4. Beer and cigs everywhere.
Anyway, i had a tape recorder with me and got Dirty Beaches' set, who had a couple pagan drummers banging away at cowbells and tambourines as he woke up the devil in us. Listen for the part where he mentions Wawa, priceless.
LOVE THAT SHIT, WOOOOOOO!
LOVE THAT SHIT, WOOOOOOO!
Factory Floor was great too.. first beam of vision produced a lanky cutey rosining a bow.. what to expect.... OH ACID OK. A full band doing 15 minute acid jams, on the verge of coming completely undone and causing an electrical fire in this huge room of raging people... I have most of their set recorded, surprising good quality too for a tape, if anyone wants an upload. Also made a mixtape of a good bit of the venture with a bunch of crazy shit on it.
Moral of the story: RVNG knows what's best.
Here's to next Time.
Cheers to Lola again for the slick video relics.
