Crescendo

Sink your teeth into this: "the holy grail of library music". Vinyl copies go for $900, so if you find one be a good friend and send it my way.
Starts off with a 6-song suite from British library legend Barry Forgie, heavy on the acoustic guitar, strings, bongos and that thing that sounds like a rattler. The rest of the album is comprised of two tracks each from Anthony Mawer, my favorite king of exotica, Nino Nardini, and Roger Roger. Absolute lush tones from some of the most beautiful instruments.
Love sound, love life.

Morning Song

New track from the next Stag Hare album, Spirit Canoes is a real burner. Big droned out psych walls over a rhythmic bird call, just sounds real nice. Really makes those 11 minutes go by fast.

Crying Sun

Throughout the eons of my musical journey, I've found it rare that a sound supersedes the piercing immediacy of the sarangi. Ustad Sabri Khan is credited with introducing the West to this ancient, immortal sound. He has performed around the world, and has done duets with Yehudi Menuhin.
This piece covers two ragas, starting off with a beautiful alap in Khan's inimitable style. The following Jhala is intense, evocative of some emotions you doubtless haven't felt in a while. Raga Multani is more of a devotional affair, starting off with a conjuring grin and moving into some pretty mischievous territory.

Ramble On

One of my favorite modern bluegrass bands, 3 incredible musicians and all around awesome dudes. Steve Camisi, the king of harmonics on acoustic guitar, Jason Hosier on sparse mandolin, and the legend Ryan Brennan on acoustic guitar and vocals. I actually named the band, my first musical claim to fame. High Bank will always be our home.
You were one hell of a character ryan, hope you dug the party last night. I had to explain to everyone that you actually dug dubstep. Hoping we can make it a regular occurance. Cheers motherfucker.

At Last

First LP from Copenhagen based producer CHLLNGR, and what a first it is. One of the best beat albums of the year so far- perfect blend of cavernous beats and nocturnal atmospheres. Some excellent synth lines, very memorable and clean. Make sure you get the vinyl on this one, you're going to want to. And while your at it fix your track numbers, haha.

¢£∑Å®♒Å✞∑® @걲☂!☪$

Photobucket
Originally this little mix was made to put out on a cd with some other stuff to give out at Camp. That never happened, but probably better off because those kids would probably just blow k off the disc and throw it at a car anyway.

Starts off right on the boardwalk in Nucky era Atlantic City, then moves into your memories as a little kid at the beach. Then up the coast a bit to Seaside Heights, into the pines for a minute, and beams a train up to NYC. Bust out the hash and check this out. If you can't find it in itunes just search @ $ $.

Free Gram

Long time no see!  Been out and about making the best of the summer, hopefully everyone else is doing the same. Just got back from upstate NY for Camp Bisco X, spent an amazing weekend with our crazy family and caught awesome sets by Cut Copy, Black Moth & Tobacco, Emancipator, Four Tet, Tokimonsta, The Magician, Holy Ghost! dj's, Harvard Bass and a slew of other incredible sets. Will be sure to post if some of these mentioned sbd's or aud's float up. Things should be settled down for a couple weeks to reclaim our local environs, as always if you're in the Jersey or Philly area hit me up if you are trying to have some kind of wild celebration, wherever it be. Looking for that amazing summer party, and I know you are too.
Anyway, NIKE7UP just put out this mixtape like 12 hours ago of new xclusive remixes, rock this shit in your car on your next Sparks run.

Drop Forge

In usual Robedoor style,a thick phalanx of Earth elements to brew up a storm in your head. I have a couple things on the way from Night People in the mail, hoping they come through soon.
