Eklin is an awesome Dutch band that really hops the cracks of most genres. On a really shallow level one might say they sound like a trip hop band raised on kraut- smooth, definitely downtempo, fairly devoid of an electronic beat and lubricated with lush instrument sounds and female vocals. Would love to see them play at a festival sometime, preferably in the later hours. Got my tape in the mail today, and as I expected, the mp3's were just a tease. Night People still has some, if you want to get a bit deeper into this well crafted, unique album the cassette is highly recommended.
